The purpose of the internship is to prepare students for future overseas ministry and provide them with field experience. Marine Reach Brazil will coach the students through the process of arranging the internship and provide a framework for this to take place.
The internship must be a minimum of 8 weeks long but can be as long as agreed by the student and host organization. The internship should be with a faith based organization involved in community development and provide the students with a cross-cultural experience.
Objectives
The objective of the CDFM internship are as follows:
- To give students an opportunity to participate in biblical community development alongside experienced practitioners.
- To give students experience working in another culture and interacting with a developing community.
- To assist and serve existing ministry.
- To understand, encourage and serve target community.
- To complete a field-based research project as their final coursework intem.
